Dispute between Track and Kennels could end Colorado racing   6/22/2008

Denver, CO.- Barring an 11th hour agreement between the owners of Mile High Greyhound Park and the Colorado Greyhound Kennel Association, Saturday will mark the final day of the 2008 live racing season. If and when the dogs return to run in Colorado is anyone's guess. "I never thought I'd see the day they would go," said kennel operator Torri Morris... "It's just devastating."

National Greyhound Association calls for action   6/18/2008

Abilene, KS.- A steady decline in the popularity of greyhound racing threatens to push the once-popular sport into extinction, both in Massachusetts and across the country. In a letter to its members, The National Greyhound Association is calling for dramatic action to reverse a years-long slide in attendance at racetracks.

State committee supports greyhound racing in Massachusetts   5/12/2008

Raynham, MA.- An effort to ban greyhound racing in Massachusetts by 2010 suffered a blow last week when the state's Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure came down squarely on the side of dog track owners. Legislators said the racing industry, which has a 70-year history in the state, provides much-needed jobs and recreation.
